I have an AWE 64 GOLD (ok, that's what reads on the box :)) and it works
fine with the awedrv made by Takashi Iwai. You can get it from:
"http://bahamut.mm.t.u-tokyo.ac.jp/~iwai/awedrv/";. And that's GPL'd.
