What is pam.conf?

	Hi!
	I'd like to know what is pam.conf, what is it use, and why when I
make root & boot disks with the yard tool ask for it when I'm gonna
login.
	
		Thank you very much in advance for your answers.

Note: I'm new with Debian, I think this is why I don't know anything
about.
