I installed Debian 1.1 in a Latitude XPi about one year ago but then
had to return the laptop. I should be installing 1.3.1 in another
Latitude in less than a couple of weeks. I'll let you know when I
am done.

Actually, I have just figured out that I can boot from the rescue disk 
and let you know how it goes. I'll do that tomorrow when I am back at the
office.
