Java's Dumping Core

I've been doing some upgrading, and managed to break Java support.
It dumps core even if you just ask it to print the version.

The packages I've installed lately are pgcc, xlib6g, xquake, and
a few others I don't seem to have written down. I have also
just finished installing the latest Java packages, and the dumping
persists.

Prior to this, everything ran fine, and I was able to developed a
small Java application that's on the JARS to 5% list.

Has anyone else run up against this problem. If so, what was the
solution.

Thanks
Paul
