Hmm. What's the output from "ls -la /usr/lib/perl5/POSIX.pm"?
Chez moi it's:
-r--r--r--   1 root     root        17806 Apr 22 06:42 /usr/lib/perl5/POSIX.pm

And version of package perl? I have:
Package: perl
Status: install ok installed
Priority: important
...
Version: 5.003.07-10
...
