Or, if you've got menu installed, add create /etc/menu/nedit that contains:
?package(nedit):needs="x11" section="Apps/Editors" title="Nedit" command="/usr/X11R6/bin/nedit"
(Assuming there's a nedit package, and that it's an x11 executable).
Then run update-menus, and the nedit entry will be installed on
all window-manages installed on your system (except gwm).
