Re: unsubscribe (fwd)

First off, Tim, I have a lot of respect for you. Please do not view this
message as anything inflamatory - I only want to mention a personal
observation and opinion.

I think it is unfortunate that you've had to respond to Dave Cinege in this
way. Although he's been somewhat "abusive" to the people on this list (in
various ways) in trying to express his thoughts and opinions, I'm one to
think that no response is by far the best response. Any replies that he
gets only "stokes his fire".... And, unfortunately, you've done that by
unsubscribing from the Debian User mailing list.

What good has this done to anyone besides Dave? While you've stroked his
ego a bit, you've left everyone else on (and ever will be on) this list to
miss your valuable contributions. You're ISP info has helped me personally
and *many* others since! And, just like everyone else here, I'm sure you
also gain valuable input from this list.

Why should you be so selfish as to take this type of action over something
so minor as someone vehemently expressing their opinions? I certainly hope
you'll reconsider your actions.
