This is incredible. The next time I buy a Computer from Compaq, I won't
specify the model number, but every single component in it from their web
page. That way they won't be able to pass off some newer model.
They switched a SCSI PD-CD for an IDE/ATAPI model on me, and refused to
trade it in. I have a Deskpro 6000.
Before the tlan driver was available from James Banks at Caldera, I bought
myself a CND$188 tulip-based card and just stuck it in the box. You may
consider doing the same if you can't find a driver.
