Sure you can. In the unstable tree, you'll find
slang0.99.34-0.99.38-2.6, slang0.99.34-dev-0.99.38-2.6,
slang0.99.38-0.99.38-2.6, slang0.99.38-dev-0.99.38-2.6 .
The slang0.99.34(-dev) packages are for libc5 backward compatibility; they
install under /usr/i486-linuxlibc1; the slang0.99.38(-dev) packages are for
libc6. They can be installed together.
