StarOffice3.1 and libc5

I recently was able to download StarOffice and get it untarred, etc..
Now, I need to upgrade libc5 to libc5.4.4 or greater. In the Debian 
packages, I noticed there was no > 5.4.4. So here's the question: If
anyone else has installed StarOffice, how did you go about the libc
upgrade? Where did you get the binaries? Are there any specific pitfalls
to watch out for (libc sounds real important :)
