Kernel Compiled (at last)
Thanks to the readers of debian-user I have successfully recompiled my
kernel. Thank you to all who responded to my pleas, I couldn't have done
it without your help.
I am getting a message during boot that I don't understand:
WARNING: no modules present for this kernel
in place of the loading modules message my old kernel gave. This doesn't
seem have any adverse effect because I compiled all the stuff I need into
the kernel, but it perplexes me because I did (to the best of my ability)
compile in module support, with a few things like file systems I probably
won't use, as modules.
If anyone knows what this is, I would appreciate a clue. But it is not
critical as everything on my system including the sound card is working
now.
Thanks again,
David Densmore <dden@rollanet.org>
