q on inn, send-nntp
Hallo.
I've got a really nasty problem with the Debian INN.
I've set up a crontab entry like
*/2 * * * * /etc/news/scripts/send-nntp news.birch.de
while the newsfeeds entry is
birch/aliases...
[..]
:birch (supposed to be the name in /var/spool/out.going/)
And then all entries of /var/spool/news/out.going/birch are wandering to
/var/spool/news/out.going/birch.nntp and all my syslog tells me is:
innxmit [pid] birch connect failes Success
(*argh*)
I tried also /usr/lib/news/bin/nntpsend but it always tells me
bad host/fqdn pair, though i start it with nntpsend birch:news.birch.net
and though it is in /etc/news/nntpsend.ctl like birch:news.birch.net::
So what am I doing wrong?
Trying an innxmit news.birch.net birch.nntp does the job...
TIA,
Alexander
(would you please cc me since I'm not at home so I won't read you answer if
you don't :)=) )
