Subject: Debain 1.2 install and sony cdu33a...

Hmm. Installing Debian 1.23 i have a major problem. Booting up, the
thing looks for loads of types of CD except cdu33a...which i have. It
says it finds asony 535 at 340 and prints rubbish characters (c-cedilla,
as in garcon). Conmfiguring the modules it only offers a sbcd interface,
and doesn't like nmy 3com 509 - says modules can only reliabnly detect
EISA ones (have a standard ISA one) and fails to configure it, so i cant
do an nfs install or nothing.

Thanks, Debian, for excluding me from your pakage! The only docs i can
find are 'Installing Debian 1.x from floppy', so it;'s installed but i
can't install the bloody packages, as many *.deb files are >1.44MB. And
what's the difference between Binary_a, Binmary_i and Binmarty_m on the
CD?

_wehy_is_there_no_dfocumentation? Thgis seems sub-SDlackware to mjkwe so
far - can anyone help? I'm tearing mmy hair out!
