Change the command line of the server so that 'strace' is run,
ie. '/usr/X11R6/bin/X :0' ==> 'strace -o /tmp/X /usr/X11R6/bin/X :0'
and then take a look at /tmp/X to see what sequence of calls are
made which lead up to the crash.
