That's _to_ my house.  The actual media (hybrid fibre-coaxial) runs at 50
MBps.  The modem allows for 10MBps..

What you actually get is lower due to the fact that not that many internet
sites have more than T1 lines... Though, i have received 150k/s regularly
from ftp.cdrom.com, and about 100k/s from netscape's sites.
