I have the same problem with a hanging man (hmm...), but there is no
such
thing as 'set -a' in any of my bash startup files.
I helped myself with a QAD hack:
#!/bin/sh
for i in /usr/man /usr/local/man /usr/man/de_DE /usr/man/it_IT
/usr/X11R6/man
do
for j in $i/man[1-9]
do
if [ -f $j/$1* ]
then
zcat $j/$1* | nroff -man | less
exit
fi
done
done
echo no man page for $1
