I'm not sure which thing you meant. If you mean turn off ident in
wu-ftpd, I don't know 'cause I don't use wu-ftpd. If you mean how
to turn off ident responses in your firewall machine, it goes like
this:
There'll be a line in /etc/services like this:
auth 113/tcp authentication tap ident
You need to comment it out like so:
#auth 113/tcp authentication tap ident
And either 'kill -HUP' or restart inetd.
