dpkg-ftp Error - Suggestions?

I've just installed dpkg-ftp using dselect.  Now, I want to update the
access method for FTP using dselect.  When going through, I get the
following.  Any ideas?

dpkg-ftp	Version 1.4.8
dpkg	Version 1.4.0.6
