Well, if you want to export nfs, you don't need to have
a kernel that recognises nfs (or have the nfs module loaded).
All you have to do is install net_std, and remove the comments
from /etc/init.d/netstd_nfs.
Then, you'll need to allow export of the filesystems you like
to chare with your Univ, so edit /etc/exports. (see man exports, I believe).
After changing /etc/exports, you probably should type
/etc/init.d/netstd_nfs stop
/etc/init.d/netstd_nfs start
and you're done.
The systems mounting your nfs volumes do need to have the nfs module
loaded though. I couldn't quite understand why that failed.
(Although, on debian-user I just noticed one message that modules-2.0.0-14
seems to be not very good, but I guess you're using an older modles version)
