Debian 1.1 Beta : Can't install
Hy,
I have some trouble with the installation on my 486/66 box.
First of all, my SCSI cards AHA 1542C at 0x330 is not recognize
as well as my AHA 1542B, which does surprise me very much as I never
have had any problem with any Linux installation/kernel before at this point.
So I manage to boot from my usual boot floppy and have the root disk
to be started. But then it didn't recognize my ext2 partitions and
would not mount it. I think it was expecting a minix filesystem... :-(
Anyway I launch a shell and mount my root partition on /target by hand
telling it was ext2 filesystem.
The installation procedure seemed to OK with that and I was ready to proceed
with the base disks installation. But again it fails to load the data from
the disk, saying something about wrong iotcl.
I am really amaze by all those problems I found and I must have done something
wrong though I can't what.
I will appreciate any help.
