Re: Toshiba 3100SX : "No BIOS32 etx..."
Next week I will give your new install disks a test.

I don't know, if I understand you right. It seems to be okay (or is my
test not what you want?):
$ ls -l /tmp/floppy
... 1474560 ... /tmp/floppy
$ dd of=/dev/fd0 if=/tmp/floppy bs=1k
1440+0 records in
1440+0 records out
Now I remove the disk.
$ dd of=/tmp/test if=/dev/fd0 bs=1k
dd: /def/fd0: No such device or address
Since we are talking about floppies and fd utilities... It to have the
fdutils package available:
%f1 imag.fr:/pub/Linux/ZLIBC/fdutils
%f2 imag.fr:/pub/Linux/ZLIBC/fdutils/ALPHA
%f3 imag.fr:/pub/Linux/ZLIBC/fdutils/ALPHA
%t1 fdutils-4.1.src.tar.gz
The package is also on:
120773 Apr 01 95 funet/tools/fdutils-4.1.src.tar.gz
120773 Jan 20 95 funet/util/tools/fdutils-4.1.src.tar.gz
120773 Jan 20 95 tsx-11/sources/sbin/fdutils-4.1.src.tar.gz
120773 Jan 27 95 sunsite/system/Misc/fdutils-4.1.src.tar.gz
Maybe there is a newer one; the fdutils package contains the mtools and
additional utilities.
Karl.
