dpkg 1.0.6: dselect installation problem

If you have installed dpkg 1.0.6 (which was accidentally made visible
in the stable tree) you'll find that the hard disk and CD-ROM
installation options in dselect don't work.

In order to recover you will have to reinstall dpkg 1.0.5 manually.
Download dpkg-1.0.5.deb from ftp.debian.org:/debian/stable/binary/base
(it'll replace 1.0.6 at the mirror sites ASAP).  Become root and type:
  dpkg --install dpkg-1.0.5.deb
