Definitely.  The generic sources are the same, but any number of
important things could be better about the package.  

Installation process bugs that could have caused breakage, security
problems, unnecessary or missing conflicts or dependencies, a
different README.{linux,debian}, missing or extra files, documentation
for dselect etc.
