   Adding:

(setq dired-chown-program "/bin/chown") ; placement of chown binary

into the "site-start.el" or your ".emacs" should be sufficient for now.

Fine; "/bin/chown" then. I suggested "chown" because it seemed safer -- in
case FSSTND changes. Since chown can be found on the standard PATH,
there's no reason to specify its location so exactly.

Though you still haven't said, I'll assume that this will be fixed in 0.92.

Since you've stranded us without a working DOC file, is there a workable
DOC file we can use until 0.92? (I looked in sunsite.unc.edu:/pub/Linux/
distributions/debian/ for a fix, but found nothing.)

Finally, a gently prod: what is the status of source distributions? I
frequently need to refer to source, Emacs's in particular. Without a
source distribution, I may as well build 19.22 myself. I don't feel like
I'm enjoying the full benefits of the GPL!
