Hmmm.  I looked at my machine last night; in the file
'/root/nohup.out' were numerous 'Sed: Couldn't re-allocate memory'
messages.  However, the database was generated and the machine didn't
hang.  Too weird.

Keep in mind that Bill Mitchell said:
> I had to twiddle/usr/sbin/makewhatis to get it to work.

I'll give the patch a try tonight.  Thanks, Bill.
