Sin embargo a la hora de hacer iwconfig me encuentro con que pese a si localizar el dispositivo, no lo reconoce como wireless :
pan0 no wireless extensions.
wlan0 no wireless extensions.
lo no wireless extensions.
eth0 no wireless extensions.
Y evidentemente no me funciona la wifi del portatil .
He revisado / recompilado el kernel en varias ocasiones y tengo marcados los modulos correspondientes a la tarjeta (de hecho en el lsmod aparecen ) .
y he verificado tener tambien los firmware en la ruta correspondiente :

Entiendo que esto ultimo deberia funcionar si o si, ya que el kernel anterior : 2.6.32 ha funcionado durante muchisimo tiempo sin problemas.
Alguien se ha encotnrado algun problema similar o sabe que puede estar ocurriendo ?
