Leíste las instrucciones para instalar el pidgin?
Te están faltando las herramientas de compilación.
No se como sera en Cuba. Proba instalando build-essential desde el
synaptic.
Es muy importante que leas las instrucciones de instalación que están en
un archivo de texto, de nombre INSTALL, dentro de la carpeta
pidgin-2.6.1
p.d: Yo tengo el 2.4.3 y va al pelo!!! si te funciona el que tenias!!!
para que queres otro mas actual? al fin de cuentas para lo único que lo
vas a usar es para mensajería instantánea....es solo una opinión, no lo
tomes a mal.
