duda con nvidia
buenas, ando con una duda
vamos por parte
etch
video msi fx 5950
kernel 2.6.17-2-k7
xorg 1:7.0.23
descargue los controladores 86-1.0-8774 de la pagina,
salgo de modo grafico
sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-8774-pkg1.run... todo va bien
saltan unas advertencias
"warning you appear to be using a modular xorg release, but nvidia-installer could not find the "pkg-conf" utility required to determine the correct x library instalation petch, please install the "pkg-config" utility and xorg sdk/development package for you distribution"
le doy a ok y salta otro mas
nvidia-installer was unable to determine the correct x library instalation patch and will install the nvidia x libraries to "usr/lib"

nvidia installer was unable to determine the correct x module installation patch will install the nvidia x driver components ti "usr/lib/xorg/modules" if x faild to find the nvidia x driver module. please correct any "pkg-config" problem warned about earlier and reinstall the driver
le doy ok, instala los drivers
y cuando termino me salto esto

entre a xorg.conf
comente a
"
dri", a "GLcore" no, por que no esta...
cambie "nv" por "nvidia" ...restar y todo arranca perfectamente
salta la screen de nvidia por unas fracciones de segundo...
entre a la consola, para ver cuantos fps me tira
quiero largar el glxgears
bash: glxgears: command not found
es esto normal o hay algo que esta fallando?
por lo que tengo entendido, no tendria que tirarme ese error...verdad?
es la primera vez que intento hacer andar el 3d de esta forma...pero tengo entendido que tendria que instalar nvidia-glx..o no hace falta?
cabe aclarar que yo segui los pasos de la paginad de nvida...
