3. Utilize carriers like UPS who offer the ability to track packages from origin to destination.
4. People traveling by plane might consider shipping gifts in lieu of bringing these items on the plane.
5. Items that might leak require extra care in packing.
6. Never exceed a box?s maximum weight, which is usually printed on the bottom flap.
7. Use appropriate packing material such as bubble-filled wrapping, polystyrene ?peanuts,? corrugated dividers or plastic foam.
