Este paquete no solo ayuda a los mantenedores y desarrolladores de Debian a saber que paquetes son mas utilizados, y por lo tanto tienen prioridad.
Sino que tambien le sirve a uno para saber que paquetes tiene instalados, cuando fue la ultima vez que los actualizo/instalo y cuando fue la ultima vez que se uso un programa de ese paquete.
Como veran es muy util para mantener el sistema, ayudandonos a detectar que paquetes ya no se utilizan mas y por lo tanto podrian ser desinstalados.
A mi, que por un tiempo se me habia dado por instalar de todo, me ayudo muchisimo a limpiar mi sistema de paquetes en desuso.
