ntop

buenas tardes he instaldo ntop en mi maquina personal, en la instalacion
me dice que interfaz va a esuchar en este caso la unica que tengo eth0,
despues me pide un usuario que ejecute ntop el que sea menos root ok
puse el usuario x, todo perfecto, al intentar ejecutar con el comando
ntop -d -w 3000
me dice que  bash: ntop: command not found, al cambiarme como root y
quererlo ejecutar con el mismo comando me dice

checo que no este corriendo ntop, y despues los permisos e los archivos
dentro de /var/lib/ntop/ todos a nombre de x u grupo x  entonce decido
hacer

dpkg-reconfigure ntop

ahora le pongo como usuario a nobody, y como root ejecuto ntop -d -w
3000 dandome lo siguiente

pakuil:/etc/ntop# ntop -d -w 3000

lo cual me indica que ya esta, al poner el en browser
http://localhost:3000 me rechaza la conexion, doy un ps aux y no
encuentro ntop corriendo y dando un nmap localhost no tengo el puerto
3000 abierto, alguien me puede decir que estoy haciendo mal o como puedo
hacer correr ntop correctamente, gracias por sus comentarios
