Nagios, yo ya he montado algunos y siempre van muy bien.
Es bastante flexible (monitorización por icmp,smnp,etc) con los
plugins que ya hay por ahi.
La configuración es facil y sencilla.
Y hay bastante información sobre el tema en internet.
