Error extraño



Hola,
  Mi Debian me da este error horrible

"Losing too many ticks!
TSC cannot be used as a timesource.
Possible reasons for this are:
You're running with Speedstep,
You don't have DMA enabled for your hard disk (see hdparm),
Incorrect TSC synchronization on an SMP system (see dmesg).
Falling back to a sane timesource now"

La maquina culpable es un P-IV 2.4 con 512MB, tres discos duros IDE
Maxtor de 160GB (segun la bios UDMA Mode 6), y un lector de CD LG 52x.

El nucleo es la version 2.6.8 compilada para P-IV. y me da ese error

He visto que este problema con chipsets intel se solucionaba reconfigurando el kernel y activando CONFIG_BLK_DEV_PIIX=y

Yo lo he hecho y me ignora totalmente (vamos se empeña en darme dolores de cabeza)

¿Alguna idea? Cualquier sugerencia es bienvenida :-)
