Hola, mira esto:

       dpkg -S | --search filename-search-pattern ...
              Search  for a filename from installed packages. All
              standard shell wildchars can be used  in  the  pat­
              tern.

Ejemplo:

toni@doraemon:~$ dpkg -S 'glib-config'
libglib1.2-dev: /usr/share/man/man1/glib-config.1.gz
libglib1.2-dev: /usr/bin/glib-config
