No consigo capturar el sonido de la TV

Estoy usando el mencoder para capturar en divx de la tele, y si, captura 
imagen pero sonido no, y eso que mientras esta capturando se esta 
escuchando el sonido, el comando que uso es este.

mencoder -lameopts cbr=0:br=192:aq=0:mode=0 -divx4opts br=800 -oac 
mp3lame -ovc divx4 -tv on:driver=v4l:width=384:height=288

Y el man veo esto:

-tv <option1:option2:...>
              This option enables the TV grabbing feature of MPlayer.

              NOTE:
              MPlayer  doesn't accept colons so type dots instead in 
the device ID (e.g. hw.0,0 in-
              stead of hw:0,0).
              Be advised that although you can select any samplerate 
when using ALSA, the LAME  au-
              dio codec is able to encode only the 'standard' 
samplerates.  You'll get an .avi file
              with no sound when you choose an odd samplerate and use 
this codec.

¿Como y donde le indico un 'standard' samplerate? y ¿que es un 
'standard' samplerate?
