Una cosilla aquí. nVIDIA recomienda en la documentación de sus drivers
no cargar los módulos "dri" ni "GLcore" (este último ya lo carga
automáticamente luego el módulo "glx" de nvidia):

"
... In the Module section, make sure you have:

        Load   "glx"

You should also remove the following lines:
      
        Load  "dri"
        Load  "GLcore"

if they exist ..."

por lo que también deberías quitar al final la parte de dri
