La solución a este problema tan especifico seria instalar el LILO en un
disquete y listo. Si instalas el nucleo alli la carga se te hace muy lenta
pero si solo instalas el LILO volara.
Simplemente en tu lilo.conf
boot=/dev/fd0
root=(tu partición raiz)
con un disquet en la disquetrera.
