Sobre la jerga ...

Hola a tod*s,

últimamente he visto algunos mensajes en la lista que preguntan sobre lo
que significan acrónimos como IMHO y demás. Para el que tenga curiosidad
recomiendo instalar el paquete "jargon":

jcamen@cerbero_(~)_$ dpkg -l jargon
Desired=Unknown/Install/Remove/Purge
|
Status=Not/Installed/Config-files/Unpacked/Failed-config/Half-installed
|/ Err?=(none)/Hold/Reinst-required/X=both-problems (Status,Err:
uppercase=bad)
||/ Name            Version        Description
+++-===============-==============-============================================

ii jargon 4.0.0-3 The definitive compendium of hacker
slang.

Ejecutas:

jcamen@cerbero_(~)_$ jargon IMHO

y sale

:IMHO: // /abbrev./ [from SF fandom via Usenet; abbreviation for
   `In My Humble Opinion'] "IMHO, mixed-case C names should be
   avoided, as mistyping something in the wrong case can cause
   hard-to-detect errors -- and they look too Pascalish anyhow."
   Also seen in variant forms such as IMNSHO (In My Not-So-Humble
   Opinion) and IMAO (In My Arrogant Opinion).

Voilà. De hecho el programa jargon no es más que un script que invoca al
programa "info" con unos determinados parámetros. O sea que para manejar
el "jargon" basta con saber manejar el "info" (me refiero a cómo salir
del programa, pasar a página siguiente y demás).

Saludos,
