problema no vmware

Olah a todos da lista,

Estou tentando instalar o vmware no Debian, tudo vai certinho mas chega um
momento que ele vai instalar o modulo vmmon, entao ele informa que precisa
da seguinte informacao:
None of the pre-built vmmon modules for VMware Workstation is suitable for
your running kernel.  Do you want this program to try to build the vmmon
module for your system (you need to have a C compiler installed on your
system)? [no]
Eu respondo yes, porem ele solicita a seguinte informacao:
Using compiler "/usr/bin/gcc". Use environment variable CC to override.

What is the location of the directory of C header files that match your
running kernel? [/usr/src/linux/include]

Ele pede o local em que esta instalado, tentei apontar onde estava
instalado o kernel, porem ele volta com o erro, pedindo para apontar
corretamente. Alguem poderia me ajudar?
