Ta na sua kra o erro:

ERROR: You appear to be running an X server; please
exit X before installing.

Você não pode rodar o instalador com o X funcionando.
Use ctrl+alt+F1 pra mudar pra modo texto e dê um
killall gdm (pode ser o kdm ou xdm, depende de qual
você usa), tente rodar o instalador agora.
