Use o apt-cache search para procurar alguma coisa:
apt-cache search Geographic Information System
drawmap - draws customized maps, using raw USGS data files
grass - Geographic Resources Analysis Support System
grass-doc - Geographic Resources Analysis Support System documentation
miscfiles - Dictionaries and other interesting files.
qgis - Geographic Information System (GIS)
Use o apt-cache show nome_do_pacote para exibir seu conteúdo.
Por exemplo:
apt-cache show qgis
