Todas as opcoes relativas a PPP estao habilitadas? Ativou as opcoes no Kernel como modulo ou estatico?

Pelo menos estas opcoes devem estar ativas, neste caso, estao como built-in:

<*> PPP (point-to-point protocol) support
<*>   PPP support for async serial ports
<*>   PPP Deflate compression
<*>   PPP BSD-Compress compression
