Parece que o X nao achou qual e a sua placa PCI... 
Usando o programa lspci ou "cat /proc/pci" voce pode descobrir qual o
endereco da sua placa de video no barramento pci.

Aqui o meu /proc/pci:

O ultimo é a minha placa de video. Ela esta em 1:0:0.

So e necessario acrescentar a linha se for diferente da que o X achou. Voce
pode tentar usar o X-3. Na documentacao fala que quando o X nao acha a placa
de video pci dificilmente ela ira funcionar forcada mas nao custa tentar.
Problema de hardware?
