Some people take backwards compatibility to the extremes. Still, it's just
the default setting not a "feature" (contrary to Solaris 8).
Ίσως να έχει αλλάξει στο OpenSolaris (εδώ κάναν default τα GNU tools, so the
world is coming to an end).

Ναι, το 2006 το Solaris εξακολουθούσε by default να κάνει DES και
truncate στους 8 χαρακτήρες. Ελπίζω πλέον να έχουν αλλάξει τα πράγματα.
