xrandr laeuft nicht



Moin,

auf einem etwa 10 Jahre alten Desktop mit onboard 1915 Grafik (DVI/VGA) sagt

Can't open display 

Läuft xrandr nicht mit der Grafik?

In den Logfiles sind keine relevanten Einträge. Das System ist Buster/i386 mit
XFCE4.

Die Ausgabe von 'strace -ff xrandr' und Xorg.0.log hänge ich an.
