Die Google-Suchbox ist bei mir ebenfalls abgeschaltet.
Kann es sein, dass dies RSS Feeds sind oder Live Bookmarks? Ich hatte wohl
mal das eine oder andere RSS Symbol angeklickt, brauche die aber nicht. Kann
man das zentral abschalten? Die entsprechenden Lesezeichen habe ich jetzt
erstmal gelöscht, mal sehen ob das aufhört.

Leider nicht. Das würde mir den halben Gnome kaputtmachen.
Gesucht ist also eine Möglichkeit, die Netzwerkabfragen des
bonobo-activation-server zu unterbinden, ohne Bonobo ganz zu killen.
/etc/bonobo-activation/bonobo-activation-config.xml ist ja praktisch leer.
