pstree/ps/proc unterschiedliche Ausgabe / Consolekit deaktivieren?

Hallo Debian Users
Wenn ich mit "pstree -p" die Baumstruktur ansehe, sehe ich etwa 50
console-kit-dae Prozesse. Mit "ps -ef" sehe ich allerdings nur einen
Prozess.
Warum dieser Unterschied? Die PIDs scheinen gar nicht zu existieren mit
ps. Stehen jedoch im /proc/$PID. Kann hier ein Rootkit am Werk sein?
Rkhunter und chkrootkit auf dem laufenden System finden nichts.
Was ist dieses console-kit-dae überhaupt?

Die Binaries stammen aus dem Paket "consolekit", was aber sehr schlecht
dokumentiert ist (Readme und Readme.Debian sagt mir nichts).
