Hallo Wolfgang,

probier mal "mke2fs -n PARTITION". Das zeigt an, was es tun _würde_ (den 
Schalter -n nicht vergessen!), also auch, wo die Kopien des Superblocks 
geschrieben würden. Das Ergebnis kannst Du dann mit "e2fsck -b" 
verwenden.
