lists.d.o lief vor langer Zeit auf qmail (aber an qmail tut sich ja eh
nix).
Es wurde auf postfix umgestellt - weil qmail a.) müll und b.) langsam
ist. Es gab damals passende Reaktionen von listmastern im IRC - und die
waren *äusserst* positiv für den Speed von Postfix.
Und das tut ohne nerviges stundenlanges rumpatchen um zumindest mal das
minimalste an Standards und Co zu supporten.

It seems to me that the account creation step could be fully automated:
checking the box "approved by DAM" could trigger an insert into the LDAP
database thereby creating the account.
