wie du siehst ist es auf meinem Desktop auch leer:
$ ls -al /opt/
total 8
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 2007-04-15 13:48 .
drwxr-xr-x 21 root root 4096 2007-07-06 18:07 ..
Der FHS Standard [0] (Teil von LSB [1]) definiert, dass /opt für meist
proprietäre Third-Pary Applikation ist. Im Serverumfeld ist das
beispielsweise Oracle oder Websphere.
